Maiden Blush Lilacs

One of my favorite lilacs are the Maiden Blush. The first time we saw her at the nursery we knew we would add her to our garden. She is the prettiest pink and  we actually have two.

She is planted among the French Lilac and they look so lovely together.

I want to pick every one but I try to hold back! I wish they were good for cutting, but they don't last long once off the branch.

I love this Bessie Pease print called "Moonbeam".

and this beautiful vase that was a lovely gift from a lovely lady!

For now I will enjoy the Maiden Blush, the French Lilacs and the
Korean Lilacs as they are all the first to bloom.

Beauty of Moscow, Nellie Bean, Miss Kim, Miss Canada, Pocahontas, Sensation, Josee, Tinkerbell and Thumbellina are almost ready to bloom. It's going to be a great year for Lilacs! Can you smell them?

The Song of The Lilac Fairy
White May is flowering,
Red May beside;
Laburnum is showering
Gold far and wide;
But I sing of Lilac,
The dearly-loved Lilac,
Lilac, in May time
A joy and a pride!

I love her so much
That I never can tell
If she's sweeter to look at,
Or sweeter to smell.

Oh, I love that pink lilac! I have white and traditional but no pink. That is a new one I want!

Hi Shirley: I just saw your blog and knew I had to follow. I'm hoping that you will come over to my Cottage and do the same. It's all about lilacs now, the most beautiful and fragrant bloom there is, in my opinion. I leave my cottage for one minute and come back to the sweet aroma of heaven. ..Happy Monday..Judy

I love lilacs. They are a beautiful addition to this vignette. Great Bessie print, too.

Hi Shirley: I became a new follower today and was hoping you would come and visit the Cottage also. I thought I might have left you a message, but it appears that I didn't. Please forgive if you get two. Your lilacs are beautiful. I don't have that pretty dainty pink. I have the purple ones, but my whole house is so fragrant now. I love them..Happy May Day to You..Judy

Your pink lilacs are exquisite. I guess we all have lilacs on our minds right now. Such a lovely and romantic flower. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pink blossoms with us. You know, I'm quite certain I can smell their sweet scent right from the computer screen.
Have a wonderful week.

I was given a good sized lilac bush as an Easter gift from Bobby G. It was a complete surprise and I was ecstatic. :)
