I love Day Lillie's.
The best part of beauty is that which no picture can express...
Bacon
True to their name, a Day Lilly blooms one day,
leaving room for it's neighboring bud to open.
Of all the Lillie's, I love the Day Lilly best.
It won't be long and the garden will be scarce of blooms...
The months are passing by so quickly.
I know we still have lots to look forward too, but if you think of what has already come and gone it blows my mind!
Each day is worth smiling for.
The baby birds have been hatched and now learning how to find food and shelter.
We had so much fun watching the nest's of bluebirds that we had. They do take a long time to build, hatch and care for the young.
And we also had the thrill of watching the Nut Hatch babies leave their nest (tree hole) one by one. It was a wonderful sight to witness!
The Day Lillie's are producing a wonderful crop this season!
And I will enjoy the beauty as long as I can! Hope you are enjoying your summer too!

there are still some Lilys in the garden, but not too many. The summer
heat is really wilting our beautiful blooms. I have not cut any fresh flowers to share
as the blooms are not looking pretty enough. I still love them anyway. This Shell was
my last fresh cut arrangement just a few post's back. Hope you enjoy seeing it again..

Shirley, they are just beautiful! I only have a couple of kinds. Looks like you have a wonderful variety!
So pretty! Do you cut them for the house? If I try to they just immediately die. Yours look great!

Shirley, Such pretty lillies in different colors. I am going to be sad when the flowers are no longer blooming in your garden. I do enjoy looking at them. These flowers have always reminded me of my niece, Lillie.
