A Weeping Pussy Willow Tree. After the winter it can be planted in the yard.
This is happening to soon and after flowering it will need to be cut back.
Our spring is still a month away..and if Old Man Winter hangs around it can be even longer.
Maybe I have the house too warm.
It sure is interesting up close
And it will be nice if they do become part of my garden.

These are amazing shots Shirley. I've not seen these plants in real life. For now they make stunning table centre pieces.

Brought back memories of my Dad buying me a pink pussywillow when I was little..oh how I loved it.

this is just the sweetest thing ever! I have never seen pussy willows like this. They remind me of when I was a florist.
Hope you are staying warm...sunshine is out today and lovely out - but tomorrow we are supposed to get hit again with more snow.
Have a great week!
How sweet is that - I love it!
I haven't seen a pussy willow in decades. I loved touching them when I was a kid. thank you for the warm memory...so lovely!

What a delicate little plant and such a contracts to your last post.
Australian summers are never without fire - its just the scale of the fires that change. Lives and property have been lost during this summer - it is such a difficult addition to the understanding of our landscape.

Hi Shirley, that is so lovely, in its actual form and the progression of your shots. Blogging makes me see beautiful plants i might not be able to see even in this lifetime. Thanks also for your visit.
I am dying to get my hands on some pussy willow branches. Don't know of anyone who has a tree but hoping to see some in the stores. I do have a curly willow tree that I just love. It is finally big enough now that I can cut some branches from it. Have a happy day Shirley.
This is such a cool little tree, Shirley. I've never seen it up close. Your pictures are amazing. I love the softness in the background and how bright the actual picture is. Hope you are having a happy week.

They are so lovely. I've seen cut branches at my local grocery store, but I've never seen such cute planted willows.
I do hope you can find the onion and apple soup recipe. I would love to try it.
Shirley,
This is just beautiful! Your pictures are so lovely....so graceful!
Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Shirley, I didn't know they could be started indoors. They look so pretty in those containers, and your photography is wonderful. Hope they make it for planting. laurie
