Lilly of The Valley

 Gentle fairies, hush your singing;
Can you hear my white bells ringing,
 Ringing as from far away?
Who can tell me what they say?
For those of you who have seen these pictures from last year, I'm sorry for the repeat but with the harsh winter we had this year I don't know when my Lilly Of The Valley will be ready for new photo's.
It was my mom's favorite flower and she was so happy when she found I had planted
it in my garden. It sure did take off and I have so much of it that one season I gave a lot of it to a bride who needed more and was having a hard time finding it. She was delighted when I let her take as much as she wanted.  I love to share.

Oh Shirley! I'm so glad you added these. I would have had to special order some if I was going to have any. I know that some places it just grows wild, but boy not here! :)

I bet they smelled wonderful. :)
Thank you for sharing at Fresh-Cut Friday! :)

Shirley, I too love lily of the valley and had some in my bridal bouquet. Ours is not blooming yet either--as a matter of fact the leaves have just started to appear this week! I just love it as a ground cover and your photos and the poem are beautiful. Linda

MMMmm...can't wait 'til my mom's is in bloom. When I get my garden going and move some things around I'm planning on digging some of hers up and planting the pips in my flower beds.♥♫

I just read a post about Lily of The Valley. She said it is a tradition in France that on the first day of May you give a bouquet of Lily of The Valley. I thought that was/is a lovely tradition. Don't they smell delightful?

Shirley,
You know I'm in love with fairies, so your fairy saying made my heart sing! The Lillies of the Valley are such a delicate and pretty flower. How nice of you to help a bride out when she needed it.

I was wondering dear, can I use this fairy saying on a post someday? I love it so.

It's always nice to see your delightful garden, Shirley.

Love,
~Sheri
