A day in the park

A Swan will only sing if it it dying. How sad.
It was cold in the park and the ice left little open space for feeding.
I hope the Swans can make it through the cold winter.
Silent I pray the Swan song stays.
I love my winter walks in the park.
And I count the day's till spring.

I think there is 70 more days now. I can't wait and that walk you took is so pretty. I cannot do the cold anymore and miss walks like this. Those swans are so beautiful and yes, they will make it in the cold. They look lovely on the water.

Shirley, Everything about this post is so beautiful from the scenery of the frozen lake to the swans and to your sentiments about their song and what the outcome of a very cold winter could be. I am hoping with you that they will stay safe and will keep the heart shape as a couple. That is always an amazing sight to me..Happy Friday..Judy

Hi Shirley,
Such wonderful photographs. There is such a stillness to winter, that brings about beauty like no other time of the year. You have captured that in your photos.

Great swan shots - I remember seeing a picture of two swans that were so well "lined up" that you could only see there were two if you counted the feet!

Cheers - Stewart M.

PS: not been out in my PJ's with the new lens (yet!)
